Minor Issue NOT Resolved

It turns out that the new crust washer didn’t resolve the rear hub leak after all. Which means that more troubleshooting is now needed. The leak is definitely right at the drain plug, but even tightening it down to a bit over the torque specs didn’t stop it. It’s a really slow leak–just a few drops right after the bike is parked–but it really needs to get fixed. This isn’t a Harley that’s supposed to be “marking its territory” after all.

New iPhone?

I’ve been thinking about buying one of the new 3GS iPhones to get the improved 3G speed and GPS functions. But it’s hard to decided if it’s worth it to buy a new phone for $200… I suppose the best thing to do is to go check it out at the Apple retail store in the local mall before deciding if I should try and convince my wife:-)

Minor Issue Resolved

Another Long Interruption

Well, once we got the new baby home, things got crazy (again). Besides all the usual baby craziness, there was a big 3rd birthday celebration for our oldest, and my project at work finally shipped. Here’s hoping that I can do better keeping things up going forward.

SilverStar lamp

My bike needed a new headlamp, and I bought a new SilverStar lamp. It’s a lot brighter and bluer, and it should make me more noticeable from the front.

Front Turns: Take 4 (or 5)

Found these at Cycle Gear:

I’m going to add them to the sides of the headlight faring (assuming they’ll fit, but I measured against the specs, and they should). Just waiting for them to arrive.
