For some reason the last few days the little one has decided that underneath the coffee table makes the perfect little hideout.

Especially when she’s playing with her sister near the sofa, she frequently crouches down and just crawls in. Then she “calls” to everyone to tell them how wonderful it is down there. In fact, sometimes they both wind up under there… silly girls.

Shame on you?

Nope, just a cutie with curlers in her hair :-)

This is a serious look–the smiling ones came out too blurry to post. Because we were taking the little one for her “one year old” pictures, we thought that we might get some sister photos, too. Momma decided that it would be cute if the older one’s hair was curled for the portrait sitting. Of course, big sister decided that she wanted them out soon after this was taken. :-)

Man, I’ve got to do something about my phone’s camera. Maybe it’s time for a new iPhone?

She loves to “earn” tickets and then choose a “prize”–and it’s very fun to see her hopping around in her excitement about winning tickets.

The manager was really nice, too. She had enough tickets to get a couple of things and then just a few left over–he gave her a lollipop and totally made her morning.

Anyway, we love Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday morning. From about 9:00 to 10:00 we were pretty much the only ones in the place.

Of course, it was very dark. The shutter on my camera stayed open for twelve seconds, and I didn’t have a tripod handy so it’s a bit blurry. But you get the idea. I love to see her resting her head on her folded-up hands. :-)

Apple dust

So, something funny and frustrating at the same time happened last night. While EV was waiting for her dinner, she picked up the baby’s bag of apple bits (freeze-dried apple) and waved it over her head. Unfortunately, the bag wasn’t sealed and about 200 tiny bits of freeze-dried apple flew off into space, scattering themselves all around the dining room. And a few bits and almost all the “apple dust” in the bag went into her hair.

Cubbies “storm”

EV’s cubbies group has done some of the neatest activities this year. Here she is with the other cubbies doing their after-story activity. The story was Jesus Calms the Storm.

All the cubbies held the edges a blue sheet and the leader put a “boat” into the middle. Then they “floofed” (EV’s term for it) the sheet to create a “storm.” It was really neat and EV loved it.
